Health Care Assistant /Support Worker (Personal Care & Social Inclusion)

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant and Support Worker to join our team of healthcare professionals. As a Health Care Assistant and Support Worker, you will provide essential support to our clients to help them live independently and comfortably. Key Responsibilities: Provide personal care to clients, including bathing, grooming, and toileting Assist with mobility and transferring of clients Administer medication and other treatments as prescribed by healthcare professionals Support clients with their nutritional needs, including meal preparation and feeding Perform routine health checks and monitor vital signs Provide emotional support and companionship to clients Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records Follow infection control and health and safety procedures Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals, clients, and their families Perform other duties as assigned by the management team

What we're looking for

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification
  • Experience in a similar role in a health or social care setting
  • Knowledge of health and safety, infection control, and other regulatory requirements
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
  • A compassionate and caring attitude towards clients
  • Ability to travel to different client locations within the local area
  • Has own car, drives with a valid driving license
